Brighton & Hove Arts Council Art Show 2025

What a triumph! The Brighton Painting Group's inaugural collective exhibition has come to a close, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Brighton & Hove Arts Council for their exceptional organisation and warm welcome as the newest addition to the BHAC Members.

Our exhibition featured the work of 15 group members, who displayed their magnificent plein air paintings—all created on location and BPG meet-ups. The 28 exhibited works spanned our entire journey, from BPG’s very first meet-up in November 2021 to our most recent gathering at Shoreham Port in March 2025.

Now that the exhibition has concluded, I can confidently say it marked a special milestone for our group. As Bev noted in our group chat, this past week has brought us all together even more with the hanging of artwork and invigilating the exhibition to celebrating together at both the Private View and Closing Ceremony.

Participating Groups:

Thanks again to the Brighton & Hove Arts Council and to their members. Don’t forget to check out their Arts Diary and consider donating. Their goal is to promote the programmes and events of group members like us, helping us to reach out to wider audiences through our core activities, thereby contributing to the cultural diversity, health, and wellbeing of the communities in which we live.

And lastly, thanks so much to everyone who took part, visited, or supported the group recently — really appreciate it. I’m feeling excited about the future of the group and grateful to be part of such a lovely community 🖼️✨
